Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to Dyslexia!  My name is Alayna Siemonsma and I am excited and grateful to be a part of the awesome Bozman Intermediate School family and part of your child’s education.  Speaking of family, I am married to my husband Matt and we have two wonderful boys, Ian(14)and Ty(12). I am excited to begin my 20th year of teaching.  I have an Elementary Education Degree from the University of Wyoming, a Master’s in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, and I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher.  I am looking forward to getting to know both you and your child this year.
In our classroom, my goal is to create a community that makes each child feel valued and comfortable. No matter what else is going on in their lives or in the world I know that our classroom will be a place to be with friends learning, growing, and laughing. Our classroom will be an active learning space in which each student will be challenged. I not only want to nurture students’ academic progress but also create better citizens.  Therefore, positive choices and problem solving will be stressed. For your child to be successful, your support at home is essential.

Your child will be responsible for his or her own actions and choices. To create and maintain a positive learning environment for all students, each student will be expected to follow the classroom rules.

Once again, WELCOME to Dyslexia, I look forward to a great year. The fastest way to reach me is through email. I know that with our teamwork, your child will have a fun and successful year!
